Creating A Project

  1. To access My Projects, click on the Business tab and click on My Projects or you can click My Projects from the left side Business menu.


  2. Click New Project to create a new project.


  3. Enter text into the Name field to name the project.


  4. Click in the drop down box next to Type to select Internal for a project that will only be visible to your company's staff, or External for a customer billable project.
  5. Enter a Description or overview of the nature of the project into the Description field.
  6. Under Primary Contact, select the drop down menu to choose the Staff Member who will be the primary contact for this project.
  7. Under Project Leads & Team Resources, use the drop-down menu to select the lead for this project and then click Add Lead. If you need to remove a resource from this project, simply click the red "X" next to the resource name.
  8. To add a resource to this project, select the name of the resource from the drop-down menu and click Add Resource. If you need to remove a resource from this project, simply click the red "X" next to the resource name.
  9. Click in the Start Date field to select a date on the calendar for the project to begin.
  10. Click in the Stop Date field to select a date on the calendar for the project to be completed.
  11. Click the arrows or enter a number into the Estimated Hours field.
  12. Check and uncheck the Notifications to include or exclude Client, Project Lead, and/or Project Resources from project notifications.
  13. Click Next.
  14. On the next screen, select New Project Flow to manually enter the stepwise task list for the project or Load Project Flow to import a prescribed set of steps for the project.


    • Under Template, select either the New Project Flow or Load Project Flow radio button.
    • Under Step Details, enter a name for the project.
    • Enter text into the Description field to be more specific about the project step.
    • Click the arrows or enter a number in Time, both Hours and Minutes.
    • Select Yes or No for Optional and Critical status boxes.
    • Click Save to add the step to the project.
    • Click Save to add this step or Clear to start over.
    • If you click, Save, the step will be added under Project Steps. Enter as many steps as needed to complete the project.
    • Once you have added all the project steps in, select Yes if you wish to save this layout as a new template.
  15. Click Create Project.
