Accounting: Create An Invoice

  1. An invoice is the primary container for all billable items and services. It will be used to request payment from your customers.
  2. Hover your cursor over the Sales tab and click Accounting.


  3. Click New Invoice.


  4. Input a valid company name.
    • When you begin to type, autocomplete will assist you in displaying valid companies based on what you currently have typed.
  5. If desired input is a P.O Name or Number.
    • This may be used as an alias to reference your invoice.
  6. Choose an Invoice Date.
    • Upon selecting this field you will be presented with a calendar to select the desired date.
  7. Select the Terms
    • Terms will calculate the date that the invoice is actually due.
  8. Select the Due Date
    • If you wish to manually decide when an invoice is due, you may set the due date directly.
  9. Input the Title of the invoice.
  10. Add your items or services to the invoice, by clicking Add Another Item.
    • You must add at least one service or item to any invoice.
  11. Input a valid Item or Service Name.
    • When you begin to type, autocomplete will assist you in displaying valid items and services based on what you currently have typed.
    • Upon making a valid selection (description, quantity, rate, tax) will prefill with the information contained for those particular items.
  12. Input a valid Quantity
    • This may be any number greater than -1.
    • You may also use the slider control but it value caps at 1000.
  13. Input a valid Rate
    • This may be any number greater than -1.
    • You may also use the slider control but it value caps at 999.
  14. Input a valid Discount Value if applicable.
    • This may be any number between 0-100
    • You may also use the slider control.
  15. Input a valid Tax amount if applicable.
    • This may be any number between 0-100
    • You may also use the slider control.
  16. Click Add Item
  17. Add Customer Notes if applicable.
    • These will appear on the invoice to the customer.
  18. Add Terms & Conditions if required.
    • These will appear on the invoice to the customer.
  19. Click Create Invoice.
